Boston Jung Institute Workshop on March 13, 2010 10:00-4:00 PM
"Neptune; Planetary Archetype of Mirage, Mysticism, and Madness"
When Jung wrote to Bill W. about "Spiritus Contra Spiritum" he was writing in part about the archetype of Neptune. Oceanic Neptune reflects the yearning for Spirit, the desire to merge and connect, and inspires great art and the religious impulse. It is also filled with the flotsam and jetsam of illusion and discontent. Neptune touches all of our lives and can be uniquely understood by its placement in our astrological birth charts. In this workshop you'll gain a deeper understanding of how this illusory planet operates in your life and chart, and its placement in Carl Jung's chart. When registering please include your birth day, place, year, and time if you have it (not essential). Each participant will receive their birth chart and previous knowledge of astrology not required.
Recommended Reading is Elizabeth's book: "North Node Astrology; Rediscovering Your Life Direction & Soul Purpose". (Chapter on Neptune is relevant.)

Four Previous Classes at Boston Jung Institute:
*November, 2006, "Making the Gods Work for You: Astrological Saturn as Archetype and Motivator in Life"
* November, 2007 "Uranus, Planetary Archetype of Change and Individuation
* November, 2008: "The Mandala of the Birth Chart"
In this participatory class we will delve into the mandala of the astrological chart by exploring the planetary archetypes theoretically and within the personal mandala of your own birth chart. Together we will delve into the symbolism and meaning of the planets in their signs, houses, and aspects, and explore how the wheel of the horoscope can be used for spiritual contemplation. We will also seek to envision the highest possible expression of these planetary energies, and look at how the synthesis of the chart appears in the Moon's Nodes: a synchronistic hint of one's life direction and soul purpose. Nov 8th 10-5:00 Register with the Institute, then call me with birth infor so I can create your birth chart for the class.
* March 13th, 2010 "Neptune: Planetary Archetype of Mirage, Mysticism, and Madness." Saturday 10-4:00 PM Boston Jung Institute
